Heat suspend F Wright 2 games after DUI (AP)

Dorell Wright has been suspended for two games by the Miami Heat, one day after he was cited for driving under the influence. Heat president Pat Riley says Wright’s conduct was “detrimental to the team.” Wright will not be with the Heat for home games Friday against Chicago and Sunday against Philadelphia.

Injured Bulls PG Rose out vs. Heat (AP)

Chicago point guard Derrick Rose has been ruled out of the Bulls’ game Friday night against the Miami Heat with a sprained left wrist. Rose was injured Thursday in the Bulls’ loss at Orlando, after colliding with Magic center Dwight Howard. The Bulls say tests performed Friday confirmed the sprain, but showed no breaks or ligament damage.

Bing hopes to lure Pistons back downtown (AP)

Detroit Mayor Dave Bing would like to lure the Pistons back downtown, where they played when he was on the team. Bing said Thursday that the Pistons could relocate from The Palace in suburban Auburn Hills. Pistons owner Karen Davidson has said she’s considering a possible sale of the NBA team. The Pistons played at Cobo Arena in the city when Bing was with them, from 1966-75.

Rudy Fernandez added 12 points including a pair of pivotal 3-pointers during a late 17-3 run by the Blazers, who snapped a nine-game losing streak at Oracle Arena.
